Bunkers International Corporation (Bunkers International) and the company's joint venture partner C.I. Vanoil today announced its bunker tanker BT Cartagena Sun is now fully authorised by the Maritime Transport Agency of Colombia to deliver to the port of Coveñas, along with Offshore Cartagena, and Cartagena Inner Anchorage.

"We are very excited that the BT Cartagena Sun can now operate in Coveñas, which is Colombia's main crude oil port. This vessel will enable our customers to obtain all the products they require at the locations they desire," President of Bunkers International John Canal said in the emailed press release.

"We now have the ability to service the large crude oil tankers that transit Coveñas. And the addition of offshore Cartagena gives our customers even more fueling alternatives," he added.

The Colombian‐flagged double‐hulled, 6000 metric tonne capacity tanker was rebuilt and unveiled by the company in July earlier this year.

Bunkers International have said the vessel offers LSFO, HSFO, and MGO, and has pump rates of 500 metric tonnes/hour.
