Bulk Carrier Arrested in Singapore

A 46,400 dwt bulk carrier was arrested in Singapore late Monday, according to the latest records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The 2006-built Vantage Crest was arrested at 11:59pm on October 24, 2106 following action by Gurbani & Co. LLC, records show.

Data from VesselsValue.com indicates the bulk carrier is controlled by Vantage Shipping Lines and has a market value of $7.12 million.

The circumstances leading to the arrest are currently unknown, but such action is common in instances of payment dispute.
