Bunker and lubricant supplier International Bunkering Middle East DMCC (International Bunkering) said today it has appointed Chandan Samaiyar as its country head for India, effective August 1.

Samiyar, who has more than 30 years experience in the bunkering industry, replaces Virendra N. Mishra, who is leaving the industry.

“I am very pleased to welcome Chandan to the International Bunkering group and I believe his knowledge and many years’ experience within the Indian bunker and shipping industry will substantially strengthen our Indian office,” said Christoffer Berg Lassen, CEO of the International Bunkering Group.

Lassen was promoted to the CEO position in June, and he said at the time that the company is committed to “long-term sustainable growth,” which involves hiring “even more first-rate people.”

International Bunkering has offices in Dubai, India and Singapore, according to its website.
