Chemoil Adani Starts Physical Bunker Supply at Chennai
Chemoil Adani Pvt Ltd (Chemoil Adani) has started physical supply operations at Chennai, India, the bunker supplier has told Ship & Bunker.
The supplier said it is offering 380 cSt product at berth in Chennai, Chennai OPL, and Ennore, and has three barges available for delivery: Jaleswara, with a 300 metric tonne (mt) capacity and a pumping rate of 100 mt/hour; Jalabala, with a 600 mt capacity and a pumping rate of 150 mt/hour; and Vamsee, with a 1050 mt capacity and 300 mt/hour pumping rate.
As part of the new operations, the company also has 11,200 mt of tank storage.
Chemoil Adani, a joint venture between SGX listed Chemoil and India's Adani Group, also has bunkering infrastructure within Mundra Port and SEZ, and supplies bunkers throughout India in association with state owned oil companies including IOCL, HPCL, and BPCL.
In December, Chemoil Adani said of the new Chennai operation it was aiming to replicate the success of its Mundra operations, and could "reach 10,000 tonnes within 12 months."
