Monjasa Holding A/S (Monjasa) Friday said former Maersk Oil CFO Kenneth Henriks has joined as its new Group CFO.

He will take over for Michael Ebsen, who has resigned to "continue his career in the accountancy sector," according to Monjasa Holding CEO Jan Jacobsen

Over the past three decades, Henriks has served in a number of roles with A.P. Moller-Maersk, having been CFO at Maersk Line, Vice President for A.P. Moller-Maersk, and most recently CFO of Maersk Oil in Qatar

"One of the main tasks this year is to lift the organisation that has been built over the past years' extensive growth – and Kenneth possesses the right qualifications for this role," said CEO Anders Østergaard

Henriks will join the company's management in Fredericia, Denmark, where he said that his role will be to consolidate and strengthen the company further.

"Compared to Maersk, Monjasa is a young company that has displayed rapid growth in the past decade," Henriks said.

"Monjasa has to continue with a healthy growth and I am very much looking forward to be part of this journey."

Earlier this year it was reported that Monjasa has plans to expand in Panama City.
