Bunker Prices Have Fallen 75% Over the Last 24 Months

The above graph show the average USD per metric tonne (pmt) price of IFO380 bunkers taken across the four key bunkering ports of Singapore, Houston, Fujairah, and Rotterdam in the 36 month period between January 7, 2013 and January 7, 2016, using data complied by Ship & Bunker.
In the 12 months from January 7, 2013 to January 7, 2014, the average price fell just 4.6 percent - from $626 pmt to $597 pmt.
Since then, the average price across the four ports has fallen 75 percent over the last 24 months - to $146.50 pmt on January 7, 2016.
Earlier today Ship & Bunker reported that the bunker price slide looks set to continue.
