KPI Bridge Oil has hired Carsten Ladekjær as its new CEO, effective August 1, the company said today in an emailed statement.

The news follows yesterday's announcement that KPI Bridge Oil's former CEO, Jan Obel, was recently hired by Bunker Holdings A/S as chief sales officer.

Ladekjær has 20 years of experience in the bunkering business, including most recently serving as senior vice president of A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. for just over a year, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Before that, he was the managing director and CEO of International Bunkering Middle East DMCC between 2008 and 2013.

Ladekjær will be based in the company's London office.

"It is a privilege to be taking the helm at this very dynamic and steadily expanding group and I am very excited to start this new challenge," he said.

"I am greatly looking forward to building upon the successes of KPI Bridge Oil in the recent years and in leading the future growth of the group."
