Bunker Buying Platform Recognised by the Hellenic Initiative
A new web-based bunker buying platform was recently recognised by The Hellenic Initiative and selected as a top 10 finalist for the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award 2014.
"This was a very important distinction for Bunkering At Sea, as there were over 1000 participants that took part in this year's award," Cyprus-based Bunkering At Sea (BAS) Ltd, said in an emailed statement.
Launched in November 2013, Bunkering at Sea.com is an integrated web-based platform that connects ship operators with bunker suppliers or brokers worldwide, allowing them to buy and sell marine fuel.
"We have created the first integrated electronic platform for bunkers which connects all vessel operators and owners to physical suppliers, brokers, and traders," a BAS spoksperson told Ship & Bunker at the time.
Founded in 2012, The Hellenic Initiative aims to promote and support Greek entrepreneurship through the annual competition, according to its website.
