Gener8 Maritime Takes Delivery of New Bunker-Saving VLCC

Gener8 Maritime, Inc. (Gener8 Maritime) says it has taken delivery of the Gener8 Hector, the nineteenth of 21 ECO Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) slated for Gener8 Maritime.
As Ship & Bunker has reported, the vessels are said to be equipped with advanced, fuel-saving technology.
Gener8 Maritime says it took delivery of the latest vessel on January 6, 2017 from Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines, Inc. (HHIC).
Gener8 Hector is noted to have been put into service in Navig8 Group's VL8 Pool upon delivery.
