Daily Bunker Price Report, Thursday Apr 18, 2013
Bunker price movements were generally continuing down today, but Ship & Bunker data showed a number of ports in Asia make some small gains.
Singapore IFO380 was down for a sixth day, falling $2.50 to $596.00 per metric tonne (pmt) and now down $29.00 over the last week. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) dropped $3.00 to $642.50 while MGO fell $5.00 to $848.50 pmt, and $5.00 closer to the 12-month low of $800.00 pmt set on June 22, 2012.
Rotterdam IFO380 continued its decline, repeating yesterday's movement of $-0.50 to today's average price of $574.00 pmt. LS380 dropped $3.00 to $584.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $10.50 pmt, and MGO fell $2.00 to $821.50 pmt, moving even closer to the 12-month low of $812.50 pmt set on June 15, 2012.
Fujairah IFO380, which made a small gain of $1.00 yesterday, fell $5.00 to $604.50 pmt. MGO dropped $1.50 to $1005.00 pmt, the lowest price since early February.
Houston IFO380 continued to fall to a new nine-month lows as it has done earlier in the week, today falling $4.50 to $575.50 pmt. LS380 moved down $6.50 to its new low in at least nine months of $640.00, and MGO was down $8.00 to a nine-month low of $938.50 pmt.
