Parker Kittiwake Tuesday announced that it has signed an agreement with Insatech A/S (Insatech), making the company a Parker Kittiwake distribution partner in Denmark.

Parker Kittiwake says the development boosts both the size and scope of its global footprint and highlights its commitment to supporting the maritime industry in gleaning the benefits of condition-based maintenance.

"In today’s challenging market the number of technical staff that owners and operators are retaining in-house has substantially decreased, and they're increasingly looking for a strategic business partner, not just a supplier," said Kristian Nielsen, General Manager at Insatech Marine.

"Insatech A/S provides its customers with a one-stop shop, from initial inspection and installation, right through to the commissioning and after-work service."

Parker Kittiwake highlights that advances in technology, connectivity, and data collection are increasingly being combined and analysed for improved vessel efficiency, profitability, and regulatory compliance, with progressive shipowners and operators recognising the value of understanding when issues are likely to arise.

"Parker Kittiwake’s expanding marine distributor network enables us to provide greater access to highly trained professionals, such as Insatech’s, who can provide detailed, application-specific information, impact on operational costs and predicted ROI to our customers," said Larry Rumbol, Marine Condition Monitoring Manager at Parker Kittiwake.

"Coming from a proud maritime nation, Danish shipowners have long understood the benefits of accurate and timely data to simplify everyday observations and provide advance warning of possible maintenance. The application of condition monitoring technology to quantify and qualify the condition of vital equipment, without human intervention, represents the next step of a significant commercial opportunity for Danes and their vessels."

In January, Ship & Bunker reported that Simplex-Turbulo Company Ltd (Simplex-Turbulo) had also reached an agreement to become a distributor of Parker Kittiwake products.
