Singapore Bunker Firm Takes Legal Action Over Unpaid Bunkers
Singapore based Seabridge Bunkering Pte Ltd (Seabridge Bunkering) is taking legal action against Shanghai-based shipowner Pacific Glory Shipping (Pacific Glory) over unpaid bunker bills dating back over six months, SinoShip News reports.
A spokesperson for Seabridge Bunkering confirmed to Ship & Bunker that their legal department was now handling the matter, but as such they were unable to confirm the details of the case or make a further comment on the matter.
Pacific Glory were unable to be contacted regarding the matter.
According to SinoShip News, Seabridge Bunkering plans to take custody of Pacific Glory's ship, and is also urging other companies in the shipping industry not to conduct business with the firm.
Founded in 2006, Pacific Glory says it owns one handymax vessel and was expecting another two new-building handysize vessels to be delivered last year, according to its website.
