Bunker Prices Make Small Movements in Asia

Bunker prices in East and South East Asia made small movements today, Ship & Bunker data showed. IFO380 in Singapore and Busan saw gains, while prices for the grade in Tokyo and Taiwan were moving down.

Singapore IFO380 was up for a fifth consecutive market day gaining $3.50 to $631.00 per metric tonne (pmt), making a $22.50 gain week-on-week, and up $33.50 from December 10, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) dropped $0.50 to $699.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $68.00 pmt. MGO climbed $3.50 to $940.50 pmt, rising $6.50 from last Tuesday.

Busan IFO380 moved up for a fifth consecutive market day rising $3.00 to $660.50 pmt, an increase of $15.50 from this time last week, and $18.50 lower than October 8, 2012. LS380 was steady at $796.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $136.00 pmt. MGO remained at $970.00 pmt, for a week-on-week gain of $4.50.

Hong Kong IFO380 remained at $643.50 pmt, up $20.00 week-on-week, and $29.50 higher than this time last month. MGO slipped $1.00 to $962.50 pmt, an increase of $2.50 from last Tuesday, and $9.00 higher than December 10, 2012.

Tokyo IFO380 moved down for the first time since January 2, 2013 falling $1.00 to $661.50 pmt, up $7.00 week-on-week, and $15.00 higher than this time last month. MDO was down $9.50 to $958.50 pmt, $5.50 lower than last Tuesday, and up $9.50 month-on-month.
