Gazpromneft Marine Bunker, the bunkering arm of Russian oil giant Gazprom Neft, has bought its second bunker company from outside Russia, the news agency Interfax reports.

The company bought AS Baltic Marine Bunker of Tallinn, Estonia, which owns a 2,786 dead-weight tonne (dwt) refuelling ship for dark and light ship fuel, from AS NT Marine.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker plans to sell at least 270,000 tonnes of ship fuel per year at the Port of Tallinn.

The company already sells low-sulfur bunkers on the Baltic market and has the necessary licenses and handling and storage contracts at Tallin.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker announced in March that it had acquired Marine Bunker Balkan S.A. of Romania, which supplies bunkers at the port of Constanţa on the Black Sea, a deal that reflected the company's plan to "become a significant player on the international bunker fuel market," according to the company's board chairman.
