Bunker prices ended the week higher in many ports in Europe and North America, but Ship & Bunker data showed prices remained soft in Asia.

However both Hong Kong and Singapore saw a slight gain for IFO380 today, both moving up $0.50 to $645.00 and $631.00 per metric tonne (pmt) respectively.

Most ports in North and Western Europe had higher prices today, with key grade IFO380 seeing the biggest rise in Poland where the product was up $9.00 to $636.50 pmt.

Rotterdam IFO380 prices continued to be fairly flat, today rising $1.50 to $604.00 pmt for a spread of $7.50 over the last two weeks with a change of $-5.50. LS380 fell $1.00 to $626.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $22.00 pmt, while MGO slipped $0.50 to $896.50 pmt.

Fujairah IFO380 made its first gain since March 6, 2013, up $1.50 to $633.50 pmt and a change of $-7.00 in that time. MGO moved down $2.00 to $1012.50 pmt.

Many ports in North America saw small gains for IFO and distillate today, with key port Houston's IFO380 climbing $2.50 to $616.00 pmt. LS380 made a sharp rise, up $13.50 to $699.00, but it was a correction of yesterday's drop of $12.50 and put premium for the low sulfur product at $83.00 pmt. MGO fell $3.50 to $1004.00 pmt, just $0.50 higher than the lowest price seen this year on March 4.
