Petro Inspect Launches New US-Based Operation

Petro Inspect today announced the launch of Petro Inspect Americas Inc., a new US-based operation and the latest step in the company's global expansion plans.

In conjunction with establishing the new office, Petro Inspect announced the appointment of Mr. Ahmad Ebrahem as the Operations Manager / Chief Surveyor of Americas region.

Ahmad, said to be an experienced marine sea-going engineer by profession, will be heading the bunker surveying operations in the United States.

His main focus will be on NOLA and the US Gulf regions, but will also be involved in the hiring and training of bunker surveyors around the continental United States

"Being a marine engineer, he possesses an in-depth knowledge of ship’s propulsion and auxiliary power machineries. He also brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise not only in bunker surveying and fraud prevention but also marine surveying activities from cargo damage claims to ship inspection, Port State Control inspections, accident investigations and marine cargo surveying and claims," said Petro Inspect.

Ahmad has a Master’s degree in Marine Engineering Survey and Bachelors in Marine Engineering Technology, and prior to joining Petro Inspect worked as a bunker surveyor for VPS Testing & Inspection Services.

"Ahmad’s inclusion in our team will not only strengthen our presence in this region, but also his deep understanding of the US bunker market will be beneficial to our organization," said owner and founder of Petro Inspect Group of companies, Kaivan H. Chinoy.

News of the new US operation follows Friday's announcement of the launch of Petro Inspect Brazil De Inspecao Marítima S.A., the company's  new operation in Brazil.
