A 12,800-dwt Chemical / Product tanker was arrested in Singapore Wednesday morning, following action by law firm Incisive Law, Tradewinds reports citing court documents.

Details over the detention of the 2008 built Glory Ocean were said to be unclear, but it was speculated to relate to outstanding payments for services.

Data from online vessel valuation service VesselsValue.com shows the Chinese built, Vietnam-flagged vessel is owned by Khai Hoan Marine Corp of Vietnam.

VesselsValue.com indicates Glory Ocean has a current market value of $10.8 million, while the VV@ service shows the vessel is currently moored off Bukom Island, Singapore.

Data provided to Ship & Bunker by the Supreme Court of Singapore showed that in 2013, Singapore saw a 25 percent drop in ship arrests year-on-year.
