New Bunker Barge for Indian Player at Kochi

Indian bunker player Geostan Marine Pvt. Ltd. (Geostan Marine) has chartered a new 1,500-tonne capacity bunkering vessel at Kochi, local media reports.
The new barge, Sanghrajka-4, was said to have a maximum carrying capacity of 1,400 tonnes of residual and 200 tonnes of distillate product.
The addition of the 2014 build vessel reportedly takes the number of bunkering vessels at the port to six.
In May, A.K.Balyan, Managing Director and CEO, Petronet LNG Ltd (Petronet LNG) said Kochi could become an liquid natural gas (LNG) bunkering hub for not only India, but Southeast Asia as a whole.
