Singapore Arrests Russian Vessel Arrest for a Second Time in as Many Months

A seismic survey vessel owned by Russian petroleum industry focused geophysical services firm JSC DMNG has been arrested in Singapore for a second time in as many months, according to the latest records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The vessel, Akademik Fersman, was arrested at 8:20pm on Wednesday November 25, 2015 on the instruction of local law firm Haridass Ho & Partners.

The exact circumstances leading to the arrest, or wether it is related to the previous arrest, is currently unknown.

As Ship & Bunker reported last month, Akademik Fersman was also arrested on Wednesday October 21, 2015 at 5:40pm local time following instruction from Incisive Law.
