Arrested Tanker Slated for Sale in Singapore

Product tanker Semua Selamat, which was arrested in August, has been put up for auction in Singapore, according to the latest records from the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The court notes that the net value of bunkers onboard the vessel is S$62,531.75 ($43,853.16) and is included in the sale. 

The value of the bunkers is required to be paid by the purchaser is non-negotiable amount, says the court.

As Ship & Bunker has previously reported, VesselsValue.com data indicates the 8,000 DWT vessel was controlled by Malaysia's Semua Shipping and worth $7.44 million.

Bids, along with a deposit of S$50,000 ($35,064.71), must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. on December 5, 2016.
