Records from The Supreme Court of Singapore show that next month, Malaysian-flagged chemical tanker Imbak will be up for auction following it's arrest in March over a dispute with Singapore bunker player Sky Oil & Gas Asia Pte (Sky Oil).

Bids for the vessel are to be received by September 4, 2015, along with a $50,000 deposit.

The Singapore Sheriff said there are USD$32,128 of bunkers onboard the vessel that are not included in the sale price, but must be paid for by the successful bidder.

In March, Ship & Bunker reported that the 10,778 DWT Imbak was arrested on behalf of Singapore law firm Oon & Bazul LLC after Gagasan Carriers (Gagasan) was said to have failed to pay Sky Oil & Gas Asia Pte monies totaling SGD 44,747 ($33,450).

Imbak is not the only arrested vessel coming up in auction in Singapore, with the Rui Lee and the Varada Lalima both appearing on the Sheriff's auction block later this month.

The auction of the arrested the 107,000 DWT aframax tanker Varada Lalima, comes as creditors seek money from shipowner Varada Marine, a subsidiary of India's ABG Shipyard

In October, it was reported that Winland Shipping saw its supramax bulker, Rui Lee, rearrested in Singapore over payment disputes on the orders of lawyers from Allen & Gledhill.
