Chemoil Adani Makes Maiden Bunkering at Chennai

Following last week's announcement that Chemoil Adani Pvt Ltd (Chemoil Adani) started physical bunker operations at Chennai, India, the supplier has announced in an emailed statement the completion of its first bunkering with Fuel Oil at the port.

The delivery of 300 metric tonnes (mt) of IFO380 was made on January 22, 2014 to m/v Nikolaos A and carried out using Chemoil Adani's 600 dwt double hull barge m/t Jalabala.

Chief Engineer Koluzgaivowiry and Captain Roussos Andreas of Nikolaos A congratulated the Chemoil Adani team, while the supplier noted "excellent co-operation" from Port and Customs authorities, as well as D.G. Shipping and the Indian Register of Shipping in facilitating a successful bunkering.

Chemoil Adani says it intends to expand its supply operations to Chennai's adjoining ports including Ennore, Kattupalli, Krishnapatnam, Pondy, Cuddalore, and Karaikal.
