Russia-based Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker LLC (Gazprom), a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, says that marine fuel retail sales for the first six months of 2015 are up 3 percent year-on-year, having sold 1.57 million tonnes, PortNews IAA reports.

The company’s total sales of marine fuel was reported to have maintained 2014 levels, with 1.93 million tonnes sold.

The Far East and Black Sea regions are said to have seen the highest sales growth, with Gazprom also growing its Estonia-based fuel supply division.

With the results, Gazprom’s share of the Russian bunkering market has reportedly increased to 20.9 percent

Gazprom is reported to have sold 4 million tonnes of bunkers throughout the entirety of 2014, including 3.1 million tonnes in on board marine sales.

In May, Gazprom Neft's output volume of heavy fuel oil (HFO) was reported to have decreased 13.2 percent year-over-year in the first quarter of 2015 as the company continues to adjust crude refining volumes to the "current demand and pricing environment."
