OW Bunker Appoints New CFO
Denmark-based OW Bunker has appointed Kent Larsen as its new Executive Vice President and CFO, the company announced.
Effective immediately, former group treasury manager Larsen will take over the role from Morten Skou, who will move to become the head of strategic development.
"I sincerely want to thank Morten for his great work as CFO, in particular during the IPO-process," said CEO Jim Pedersen.
"Morten, who prior to his role as CFO was head of our physical operations, sometime ago expressed his wish to return to a more operational role in the organization. With a strong internal successor in place, now is the right time for such a move," he said.
The company said that Skou will withdraw from his position in the executive management but continue to report to Pedersen.
His successor, Larsen, had a major part in securing a $700 million revolving credit facility financing ahead of OW's IPO.
He first joined the company in 2012 after serving as executive director and state authorized public account at Ernst and Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The company closed its IPO early back in March of this year after strong demand from investors.
