Global bunkers and lubricants trader, Dynamic Oil Trading (Dynamic), has announced in an emailed press release the appointment of Nikita Miroshnik as a new bunker trader for its Worldwide bunker trading team, based in Singapore.

Miroshnik is said to bring considerable experience in the Russian bunker market.

The company said it had been keen to increase its Russian expertise as it sees a trend for ship owners and operators to bunker at Russian ports due to favourable prices.

Prior to joining Dynamic, Miroshnik worked for a marine fuel trader for two years across a number of Russian ports, including St Petersburg, Murmansk, and Arkhangelsk.

"Nikita brings exactly the hands-on experience that we want at Dynamic Oil Trading, including a breadth of knowledge of the Russian bunker market, which is seeing significant growth, and will be of tremendous value to our customers," said Lars Møller, Dynamic's CEO.

Moeller also commented that while the business was experiencing "continued growth" he sees a tough bunker market ahead, at least in the short term.

"We expect the market to remain challenging for the remainder of this year and into 2015," he said.

Lukoil said recently that it sees important changes on the horizon for Russia's bunker market.
