Søren Christian Meyer, the former vice president of OW Bunker's physical division, says he has joined Maersk Tankers as Chartering Director.

Writing in an update on his LinkedIn profile, Meyer says the appointment was effective January 2015 and he has commercial responsibility for the MR tanker segment.

Meyer joined OW Bunker in 2005 and held a number of roles including European Sales and Marketing coordinator, and Global Sales Director, before being appointed vice president of OW Bunker's physical division in August 2013.

Meyer's profile also indicates he left OW Bunker in November 2014, the same month the global bunker company collapsed following what it called risk management related losses and an alleged fraud.

Elsewhere on the social networking service, Lars Moller, former CEO of the OW Bunker subsidiary Dynamic Oil Trading (DOT) which is at the centre of the alleged fraud, says he is now "looking for a new challenge".

Lawyers acting on behalf of Moller have maintained that while there might have been an "untimely lack of care" in the amount of credit DOT had extended, no illegal activity took place.

Earlier this month a new email came to light suggesting OW Bunker management knew about the debt in September.
