A few exceptions aside, the year ended with softening bunker prices in North America and the U.S. Gulf, while Ship & Bunker data showed prices in South America mostly make gains.

MGO was up for a third consecutive market day rising $4.50 to $1018.00 pmt, rising $5.50 from this time last month.
LA / Long Beach IFO380 fell for a second consecutive day, today down $0.50 to $627.50 pmt, down $4.00 since last week, and falling $36.00 since November 30, 2012. LS380 rose $1.00 to $740.50 making the premium for the low sulfur product $113.00 pmt. MGO slipped $0.50 to $1041.50 pmt, up $19.00 week-on-week.
New Orleans IFO380 dropped $2.00 to $633.00 pmt, rising $7.50 from last Monday, and $5.50 higher than the previous month. LS380 was down $3.50 to $725.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $92.50 pmt. MGO in New Orleans was steady at $1013.50 pmt, up $8.50 month-on-month.
Vancouver IFO380 moved down for the first time since December 24, 2012 falling $1.00 to $635.00 pmt, up $3.00 week-on-week, and down $11.00 from last month. LS380 slipped $1.50 to $887.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $252.00 pmt. MGO in the port moved down $1.50 to $1077.50 pmt, up $9.50 in the last month.
