Bunker price movements in North America continued to be mixed on Friday, with Ship & Bunker data showing the Atlantic Coast had mainly soft prices, while the Pacific Coast, with the exception of Los Angeles & Long Beach, was generally firm.
Houston IFO380 moved down $2.00 to $654.00 per metric tonne (pmt), just $0.50 higher than last Friday, and up $29.00 month-on-month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) fell $4.50 to $747.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $93.50 pmt. MGO climbed $0.50 to $1065.00 pmt, an increase of $6.50 week-on-week.
LA / Long Beach IFO380 moved down for a third consecutive day falling $2.50 to $664.50 pmt, down $11.00 week-on-week, and $23.00 higher than this time last month. LS380 fell $3.00 to $791.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $126.50 pmt. MGO moved up $1.00 to $1126.50 pmt, rising $27.50 since last Friday.
New Orleans IFO380 moved down $1.50 to $654.50 pmt, $1.00 lower than this time last week, and up $18.50 month-on-month. LS380 climbed $0.00 to $746.00 making the premium for the ECA compliant fuel $91.50 pmt. MGO climbed $1.50 to $1067.50 pmt, an increase of $8.50 since last Friday.
Vancouver IFO380 rose for a fifth consecutive day gaining $3.50 to $674.50 pmt, $16.00 higher than last Friday, and up $39.50 month-on-month. LS380 moved up $2.00 to $908.50 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $234.00 pmt. MGO was up $4.00 to $1146.50 pmt, rising $32.50 week-on-week.
