Bunker Prices Make Small Mixed Movements in the Americas

North America bunker prices were mixed again on Tuesday, with Los Angeles / Long Beach seeing IFO380 make a gain for a fourth consecutive market day.

Houston IFO380 was steady at $598.50 per metric tonne (pmt), making a week-on-week loss of $17.00, and down $5.50 from last month's price. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) climbed $0.50 to $699.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $101.00 pmt. MGO fell for a sixth consecutive market day dropping $8.50 to $979.50 pmt, down $35.50 compared to last Tuesday.

LA / Long Beach IFO380 gained $0.50 to $630.00 pmt, down $15.50 week-on-week, and $50.00 lower than the price a month ago. LS380 moved up $5.00 to $730.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $100.50 pmt. MGO moved up for the first time since December 4, 2012 rising $2.00 to $1000.00 pmt, falling $53.50 from last Tuesday.

New York IFO380 slipped for a fifth consecutive market day falling $2.50 to $603.00 pmt, making a week-on-week loss of $19.50, and down $24.00 over the past month. LS380 was down $9.50 to $657.00 making the premium for the low sulfur product $54.00 pmt. MGO moved down $5.50 to $1006.00 pmt, falling $36.50 in the past week.

Vancouver IFO380 moved down $4.50 to $632.50 pmt, losing $15.00 from the price last Tuesday, and up $9.00 on the price last month. LS380 dropped $2.00 to $899.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $267.00 pmt. MGO was down $2.50 to $1073.50 pmt, down $14.00 week-on-week.
