Little Change for Bunker Prices in Asia on New Year's Eve
There was little change for bunker prices in Asia today, with markets quiet for New Year's eve.
Singapore IFO380 moved down for the first time since December 24, 2012 falling $2.50 to $608.50 per metric tonne (pmt), losing $4.00 week-on-week, and ending the month up $8.50 on the previous month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) dropped $4.00 to $690.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $81.50 pmt. MGO slipped $1.00 to $934.00 pmt, down $6.00 since last month.
Busan IFO380 moved up for a third consecutive market day rising $4.00 to $645.00 pmt, up $11.50 since last Monday, and $6.00 higher than the previous month. LS380 rose $3.00 to $785.50 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $140.50 pmt. MGO in Busan was down $1.00 to $965.50 pmt, rising $5.00 from November 30, 2012.
Hong Kong IFO380 moved down $2.00 to $623.50 pmt, a change of $+2.00 from last week, and $+4.50 since last month. MGO slipped $0.50 to $960.00 pmt, making a $0.50 month-on-month gain.
Tokyo IFO380 moved down $0.50 to $654.50 pmt, rising $6.00 week-on-week, and down $2.00 from last month. MDO in the port was down $0.50 to $964.00 pmt, rising $12.50 from November 30, 2012.
