Daily Bunker Price Report, Thursday May 2, 2013
After May Day holidays kept many markets quiet yesterday, bunker prices were mostly heading down today.
Singapore IFO380 was down $9.00 to $606.00 per metric tonne (pmt) making it only $1.50 higher than at this point last week, while low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) fell $5.50 to $644.50 putting it $1.00 lower than a week ago. MGO fell $9.00 to $849.50 pmt, making it $9.00 higher than the current low the for year which was set last week.
Rotterdam IFO380 fell for a forth consecutive market day, down $4.00 to $579.50 pmt, $2.00 higher than a week ago. LS380 was $5.00 lower at $591.50 making the premium for the low sulfur product $12.00 pmt, while MGO was down $7.00 to $823.00 pmt, $10.50 higher than the 12-month low set last June.
Fujairah IFO380 was down $5.50 to $616.50 pmt for a week-on-week change of $+8.00, while MGO was down $5.00 to $1007.50 pmt, a gain of $0.50 over the week with a spread of $5.50.
Houston IFO380 slipped $1.00 to $587.00 pmt, $8.00 higher than a week ago, while LS380 was $8.00 lower today at $646.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $59.00 pmt. MGO was down $8.50 to $951.00 pmt for a week-on-week gain of $2.50.
