Thursday Bunker Prices Climb Further

Thursday global bunker prices resumed an upward trend with key price indicator ports Singapore, Rotterdam and Houston all seeing double-digit gains for IFO380.

Singapore IFO380 was up $10.50 to $669.00, while MGO climbed for a second consecutive day gaining $9.50 to $983.50 per metric tonne (pmt).

Hong Kong saw IFO380 and MGO rise for a second consecutive market day both adding $5.00 to their price and climbing to $683.00 and $987.50 pmt respectively.

Rotterdam IFO380 continued upwards for a ninth consecutive market day, up $10.50 to $654.00, 1.00% maximum sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) gained $9.00 to $712.00, and MGO rose for a second consecutive day adding $13.00 to bring the price to $967.00 pmt.

Fujairah 380 cSt product moved up $7.00 to $679.00 pmt, while MGO climbed for a fourth consecutive day adding $2.50 to bring the price to $1026.00 pmt.

Houston IFO380 was up for a tenth consecutive market day jumping $14.50 to $658.50, LS380 gained $9.00 to $755.00 narrowing the premium for the grade to $96.50 pmt, and MGO climbed for a third consecutive day up $11.00 to $1013.50 pmt.

LA / Long Beach IFO380 and LS380 moved up for the first time this week gaining $11.00 to $663.50 and $14.00 to $924.00 pmt, making the premium for LS380 $260.50 pmt.

Thursday's WTI spot price was up for a third consecutive day gaining $1.27 (1.35%) to close at $95.60 per barrel.
