Further Gains for Bunker Prices on Thursday
Thursday saw global bunker prices continue on an upward trend with nearly all markets seeing gains in key grade IFO380.
Singapore IFO380 and MGO were up for a fourth consecutive market day, both gaining $1.00 and rising to $653.50 and $962.00 per metric tonne (pmt) respectively.
Hong Kong saw IFO380 and MGO make gains for a fifth consecutive market day, IFO380 gaining $1.50 to $665.00 pmt and MGO moving up $9.00 to $967.50.
Rotterdam IFO380 was up for a fourth consecutive market day climbing $0.50 to $635.00, while MGO gained for a sixth consecutive market day rising $1.00 to $941.50 pmt.
In Fujairah 380 cSt product gained for a seventh consecutive market day up $3.50 to $663.00 pmt, and MGO was steady at $1009.00 pmt.
Houston IFO380 and 1.00% maximum sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) both made gains, moving up $3.50 to $637.00 and $5.50 to $746.50 respectively putting the premium for ECA compliant LS380 at $109.50, while MGO moved up for a fifth consecutive market day rising $2.50 to $989.00 pmt.
LA / Long Beach saw IFO380 and LS380 move up for a fourth consecutive market day gaining $4.50 to $667.00 and $7.00 to $917.00 respectively, making the premium for LS380 in the West Coast port $250.00 pmt.
Thursday's WTI spot price moved up $0.01 to close at $93.36 per barrel.
