Glander International Bunkering Expands Brazil Team With EX-OW Staff
Glander International Bunkering has expanded its team in Brazil, hiring eight ex-OW Bunker employees, the company announced.
The new team, which has now grown to 11 from three, will be headed by Flavio Ribeiro, former managing director of OW Bunker Brazil.
"Brazil is an important geographic location to us and in order to meet a growing demand from our esteemed clients, we have enhanced our presence in this market," said Glander Managing Director and CEO Christoffer Berg Lassen.
In the process, the company will also be moving its headquarters to Rio de Janeiro.
"It is a natural progression that we have increased our number of employees in Brazil and acquired a larger office space," he said.
"We have a strong reputation globally and I know that our new talented colleagues will continue our legacy."
A number of other companies have also been busy in hiring former ex-OW Bunker staff, including Swiss energy and commodities trader Mercuria, who swept up over 40 former OW employees in offices around the world.
