Dan-Bunkering today said it would continue to be "business as usual" for its bunkering partnership with Colombia-based Petrocosta, despite officials ordering the liquidation of the latter company.

"As publicly known, the Superintendency of Corporations of Colombia ordered the liquidation of Petrocosta C.I.S.A. Notwithstanding this situation, we would like to inform that Petrocosta will continue with its normal operations in alliance with Dan Bnkering (America) INC, to guarantee the continuity of the services rendered to its clients in Colombia and abroad, with the aim of preventing affectations by the judicial process that is currently carried out under the tutelage of the person designated by the Superintendency of Corporations of Colombia," Petrocosta said in a statement released today.

"We will inform in due time any change in the operations, but always taking the clients needs into consideration."

As previously reported by Ship & Bunker, Dan-Bunkering penned the physical supply deal with Petrocosta last May, under which Dan-Bunkering is handling all sales and risk management, and Petrocosta handling the sourcing, blending, supply, and storage of bunkers.
