Job Title : Senior Bunker Trading Manager
Reporting to :  COO, Matrix Bharat Pte Ltd ( India Branch )
Location : Mumbai, India / Dubai

Matrix Bharat Pte Ltd (MXB) is a leading bunker company in India, the Middle East and Singapore. A joint venture between Bharat Petroleum and Mabanaft, the company benefits from the supply, trading and marketing expertise from both shareholders, with operations in Singapore (where the company is headquartered), India and Dubai.  Our activities include bunker trading, physical supply and cargo trading across these markets.

We are seeking an experienced, senior bunker trader to further expand our bunkering activities. Based in Mumbai or Dubai, the individual will have a deep understanding of the bunker markets and have established key relationships with physical suppliers, shipping companies and trading houses. Experience with the Indian market will be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities & duties

• Sales and marketing to key customers in India for supply in India and other East of Suez  ports
• Handle key accounts and maintain good relationship for major customers
• Expand customer base and explore new markets
• Work with local suppliers and refineries on pricing and volume commitment
• Work with group companies like Bomin and Matrix worldwide to cater to global clientele
• Optimise fuel sourcing to achieve targeted bottomlines
• Lead a team of bunker traders on daily sales, marketing and trading activities
• Develop trading and sales strategies for the India and regional bunker markets
• Work closely with cargo trading team on daily trading strategy
• Responsible for training and developing local sales and trading skills
• Travelling to meet key customers for promoting supply ports

Work experience & skills

• Preferably 5 – 7 years of experience of sales and trading in a shipping or trading industry preferred
• Understanding of the shipping, trading, commodity markets including hedging / price risk management, and storage/blending operations will be referred
• Relationship with local suppliers and own customer accounts will be preferred
• Strong commercial mind and possess a positive attitude
• Self-motivated and target-oriented
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and across cultures
• Outgoing and sociable personality with strong negotiation skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
• Able to speak multiple Indian languages preferred
• Able to work on Microsoft office software

Academic Qualification

University degree from a recognised academic institution
