OW Bunker has chosen Kasper Kristensen to fill the newly created role of regional manager for physical distribution in South East Asia, the company said in an emailed press release.

Kristensen previously worked as financial manager for the company and will remain at his current location in Singapore.

Kristensen will be responsible for OW Bunker's supply operations in Singapore, where it has two bunker barges, and in Australia, where it started physical operations in March, including a leased oil tank in New South Wales and road tanker distribution of fuel at Sydney, Newcastle, and Eden.

"Having a dedicated focus on our physical distribution operations in Singapore and Australia, as well as developing our distribution network across South East Asia and the wider region will deliver strong benefits," said Søren Christian Meyer, physical distribution vice president for the company.

"In addition to supporting OW Bunker's regional growth plans, this will ensure that our operations are fine-tuned to maximise operational and cost efficiencies for our customers in meeting their specific requirements for fuel procurement."

OW Bunker announced last month that it was reorganising its operations in Asia into three geographical divisions to support continuing growth.
