Shanghai Lonyer Fuels (Lonyer Fuels) and ENN Energy of Hebei, China will jointly develop a liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering supply chain in the nation, Chinese shipping news site SinoShip News reports.

Lonyer Fuels, a specialist in ship bunkering, fuel storage, and transport, will work with ENN Energy, an independent gas distributor, to develop LNG bunkering, storage, and transportation facilities.

ENN Energy is planning China's first private LNG bunkering station for Zhoushan, with the first, 3 million tonne-capacity, phase scheduled for completion in March 2016.

Some have expressed skepticism about how quickly Chinese shippers will adopt LNG bunkers, in part because there are fewer emission regulations in Asia than in North America or Europe.
