New Bunker Player in Singapore as Soon Tian Oon Pte Ltd Exits the Market
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has added Raffles Bunkering Pte Ltd. (Raffles Bunkering) to its list of accredited bunker suppliers.
Raffles Bunkering is part of the Raffles Shipping Group of Companies, which also operates a broker service, market support, and dry bulk chartering businesses, according to its website.
"Today, we are one of the few privileged companies in Singapore to sit on the approval panel of shipbrokers for most major oil companies, namely BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, Mitsui, Petronas, ChevronTexaco and others," the company says on the site.
At the same time, Soon Tian Oon Pte Ltd (Soon Tian Oon) no longer appears on the MPA list, meaning the changes keep the number of accredited suppliers in Singapore at 68.
There was no official comment from the MPA on Soon Tian Oon's exit from the market.
