Cockett to Suspend UK Physical Bunker Supply Operations

Cockett Marine Oil Monday announced that its UK physical bunker supply operations will be suspended, effective June 30, 2016.
The decision is said to be part of an effort to reconsolidate the company's V-Marine Fuels operations in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA).
"ARA is the key growth area for bunkering in Northern Europe," said Karl Beeson, Group CEO.
"Consolidating our business in ARA will enable us to focus on growth as we continue to optimise and build our physical business."
In May, Ship & Bunker reported that Cem Saral will replace Beeson as Group CEO, effective September 1, 2016.
