Unplanned Dry Docking for Quadrise's MSAR Bunker Trial Vessel
Maker of Multiphase Superfine Atomized Residue (MSAR) emulsion bunkers, Quadrise Fuels International plc (Quadrise) says it has received notification from Maersk Line that the vessel on which the company's MSAR operational trial is being conducted is set to make an unscheduled dry dock visit.
"The vessel's visit to the dry dock is unrelated to the MSAR LONO and operational trial, though it may impact the overall trial schedule," explained Quadrise Thursday.
As Ship & Bunker reported in July, Quadrise said the testing process on the MSAR bunkers was expected to continue over 4,000 hours of engine operation, across a period of about 9 months.
"At this stage, details of the timetable for the dry dock stay and for the vessel returning to service are not definitive and a further update will be provided, as appropriate, in due course," said Quadrise.
In December, as part of its annual general meeting (AGM), Quadrise said it has continued to receive positive feedback from Maersk Line on the performance of its MSAR bunkers.
