Americas Bunker Prices Mostly Higher

Bunker prices in the Americas mostly saw gains today, but Ship & Bunker data showed IFO in the U.S. Gulf and Caribbean making mixed market movements as distillates in the area headed downwards.

Houston IFO380 climbed $1.50 to $629.50 per metric tonne (pmt), up $6.50 week-on-week, and increasing $15.50 since December 24, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) moved up $0.50 to $728.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $99.00 pmt. MGO was up for a third consecutive day rising $1.50 to $1017.50 pmt, $11.00 higher than last Thursday.

LA / Long Beach IFO380 climbed for a fourth consecutive day gaining $3.00 to $637.50 pmt, making a $12.00 week-on-week gain, and $6.00 above the price this time last month. LS380 was up $3.00 to $770.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $132.50 pmt. MGO slipped $1.50 to $1032.50 pmt, up $2.00 on last Thursday's price.

New Orleans IFO380 rose $3.00 to $640.00 pmt, gaining $6.50 week-on-week, and an increase of $14.50 since December 24, 2012. LS380 was up $2.50 to $737.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $97.00 pmt. MGO was down $1.00 to $1018.00 pmt, up $3.00 from last Thursday.

Vancouver IFO380 moved up for a second consecutive day climbing $1.00 to $639.00 pmt, adding $3.50 to last Thursday's price, and $7.00 higher than this time last month. LS380 moved down $2.00 to $881.50 making the premium for the low sulfur product $242.50 pmt. MGO was up $4.50 to $1066.50 pmt, $2.00 up week-on-week, but trending down overall.
