Little Change in Asian Bunker Prices

Bunker prices in Asian ports made small mixed movements today. Ship & Bunker data showed South Asia IFO380 gain around $2.00 per metric tonne (pmt), with the product's biggest move in the region today a $3.00 pmt drop in Taiwanese ports.

Singapore IFO380 was up $0.50 to $628.00 pmt, the same price as this time last week, and up $23.50 since December 24, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was unchanged at $712.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $84.50 pmt. MGO climbed $1.00 to $943.50 pmt, a week-on-week gain of $5.50.

Busan IFO380 climbed $0.50 to $661.50 pmt, rising $8.50 since last Thursday, and up $28.00 month-on-month. LS380 moved down $0.50 to $804.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $142.50 pmt. MGO in Busan moved up for a fifth consecutive day gaining $1.00 to $979.50 pmt, $5.00 higher week-on-week.

Hong Kong IFO380 rose $1.00 to $644.00 pmt, an increase of $2.50 since last Thursday, and up $22.50 month-on-month. MGO in the port climbed $6.50 to $968.00 pmt, $1.50 higher than this time last week, and up $13.00 since December 24, 2012.

Tokyo IFO380 was unchanged at $675.50 pmt, down $2.50 week-on-week, and an increase of $27.00 month-on-month. MDO climbed for a second consecutive day rising $7.00 to $973.50 pmt, $9.00 higher than last Thursday.
