Bunker Prices Make Gains in Asia
Bunker prices saw small to moderate gains in Asia, however Busan was mostly steady ending five consecutive days of falling IFO380 prices.
Singapore IFO380 moved up for a fourth consecutive day rising $0.50 to $605.00 per metric tonne (pmt), up $6.00 week-on-week, and down $11.00 from last month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was down $1.50 to $686.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $81.00 pmt. MGO was up $3.50 to $930.50 pmt, climbing $10.00 from last week.
Busan IFO380 was unchanged at $632.50 pmt, falling $8.50 from last Thursday, and down $28.50 from the previous month. LS380 at the port remained at $785.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $152.50 pmt. MGO was steady at $956.50 pmt, the same price as last week.
Hong Kong IFO380 rose $1.00 to $621.50 pmt, moving up $5.50 week-on-week, and slipping $3.50 from the previous month. MGO in Hong Kong was up $3.00 to $954.00 pmt, rising $6.00 from last Thursday, and down $2.50 from November 20, 2012.
Tokyo IFO380 moved up $3.50 to $648.50 pmt, $0.50 higher than last week, and $17.50 down from last month. MDO was up $6.50 to $956.50 pmt, rising $3.00 from last Thursday, and $6.50 higher than the previous month.
