Bunker Prices in Asia End the Week Down
Bunker prices in Asia ended the week on a soft note as many ports saw prices for both IFO and distillate product move down.
Singapore IFO380 fell for a third consecutive day, dropping $3.00 to $597.50 per metric tonne (pmt), its lowest price in almost a month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) slipped $5.50 to $669.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $71.50 pmt. MGO descended for a fourth consecutive day slipping $6.50 to $934.00 pmt falling $6.00 from last Friday.
Busan IFO380 moved down for the first time since November 30, 2012 dropping $2.00 to $646.50 pmt, up $7.50 on last week, and down $9.00 compared to two weeks ago. LS380 at the port moved down $2.00 to $803.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $156.50 pmt. MGO slipped $6.00 to $965.00 pmt, adding $4.50 to last week's price, and gaining $11.50 since last month.
Hong Kong IFO380 was down for a second consecutive day slipping $2.50 to $615.00 pmt, losing $4.00 from last week's price, and dropping $6.50 over the past month. MGO fell for a fourth consecutive day sliding $6.50 to $959.50 pmt, the same price as last Friday, and $14.00 higher than November 7, 2012.
Tokyo IFO380 moved down $2.50 to $649.50 pmt, falling $7.00 week-on-week, and down $65.00 over the past three months. MDO slipped $6.00 to $952.00 pmt, $0.50 above last Friday's price, and $59.50 higher than the price on June 7, 2012.
