Singapore Bunker Prices See Small Gains

As Spring Festival celebrations continued in parts of Asia, a number of ports in the region saw bunker prices remain unchanged today. However Ship & Bunker data showed some key ports make small gains on Wednesday.

Singapore IFO380 moved up $1.00 to $663.50 per metric tonne (pmt), an increase of $13.50 week-on-week, and $33.00 higher than this time last month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) fell $6.00 to $754.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $91.00 pmt. MGO climbed $2.50 to $997.50 pmt, $20.50 higher than last Wednesday.

Busan IFO380 climbed $3.50 to $686.00 pmt, up $9.00 week-on-week, and $20.50 higher than January 14, 2013. LS380 rose $8.50 to $826.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $140.00 pmt. MGO in Busan was up $3.00 to $1025.50 pmt, an increase of $16.00 since last Wednesday.

Hong Kong IFO380 moved up $0.50 to $671.00 pmt, $7.50 higher than this time last week, and up $22.00 month-on-month. MGO was steady at $1015.00 pmt, $18.00 higher than last Wednesday, and up $46.00 since January 14, 2013.

Tokyo IFO380 was up $0.50 to $708.00 pmt, an increase of $8.50 week-on-week, and rising $24.00 month-on-month. MDO in the port rose $1.50 to $1014.00 pmt, up $14.50 since last Wednesday, and $46.00 higher than this time last month.
