Bunker Prices Firm in Asia

Bunker prices throughout Asia were largely firm today, with IFO380 in key ports Singapore, Busan, and Hong Kong continuing up for a third consecutive day.

Singapore IFO380 was up $7.00 to $623.00 per metric tonne (pmt), gaining $12.00 week-on-week, and the highest price since October 29, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was up $10.00 to $699.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $76.50 pmt. MGO rose $2.50 to $939.50 pmt, rising $4.50 from last Friday.

Busan IFO380 was up $5.00 to $656.00 pmt, making a $15.00 gain from last Friday, and up $11.00 month-on-month. LS380 was up $7.00 to $793.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $137.00 pmt. MGO in Busan climbed $1.00 to $971.00 pmt, up $4.50 week-on-week.

Hong Kong IFO380 rose $9.50 to $638.00 pmt, $12.50 higher than this time last week, and an increase of $20.00 from December 4, 2012. MGO in the port was up $4.00 to $963.00 pmt, rising $2.50 week-on-week, and $4.50 lower than a month ago today.

Tokyo IFO380 climbed $7.00 to $657.50 pmt, up $2.50 from last Friday, and falling $0.50 from December 4, 2012. MDO was down $0.50 to $960.00 pmt, a week-on-week loss of $4.50, and falling $1.00 month-on-month.
