Little Movement in Global Bunker Prices on Tuesday
Bunker prices movements were predominantly small on Tuesday, with the Americas and Asia generally seeing minor gains while European markets remained mixed.
Singapore IFO380 moved up for a second consecutive day gaining $2.50 to $671.50, while MGO added $1.00 to bring the price to $990.00 per metric tonne (pmt).
Hong Kong saw IFO380 rise $0.50 to $686.50 for a week-on-week gain of $12.50, and MGO climbed $5.50 to $999.00 pmt.
Rotterdam IFO380 moved up for the first time since August 16, 2012 gaining $1.50 to $652.00 pmt, 1.00% maximum sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was up for a second consecutive day climbing $3.50 to $740.00, while MGO added $3.50 bringing the price to $977.00 pmt.
Fujairah 380 cSt product moved down $0.50 for a second consecutive day to $680.00, and MGO was steady at $1021.50 pmt.
Houston IFO380 was up for a second consecutive day rising $2.00 to $661.00 pmt, LS380 moved up for a sixth consecutive market day gaining $4.00 to $765.00, while MGO fell for the first time since August 13, 2012 dropping $1.00 to $1024.50 pmt.
LA / Long Beach IFO380 and LS380 were both down for a third consecutive market day, IFO380 losing $8.50 to $648.00 and LS380 falling $8.00 to $901.00 to bring the premium for the Emission Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel to $253.00 pmt.
The Tuesday WTI spot price was up $0.43 to close at $96.40 per barrel.
