Monday's bunker prices continued on the downward trend started last week, with Ship & Bunker data showing some key ports hit their lowest prices of the year so far for a second day.

After ending the week with a $0.50 gain, Singapore IFO380 dropped $3.00 to $622.50 per metric tonne (pmt) to put the price at its lowest since the start of January. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) moved down $5.50 to $681.00 to make it the lowest price of the year so far. MGO fell $3.00 to $898.00 pmt to slip below $900.00 pmt for the first time since July last year.

Rotterdam IFO380 dropped $4.00 to $592.50 pmt, just $5.50 higher than the lowest price of the year on January 1, 2013. LS380 was down $1.00 to $607.50 to replace yesterday as the new low for the year so far, while MGO was down $9.50 to $877.00 pmt to move prices to their lowest since July last year.

Fujairah IFO380 ended a run of four consecutive market days of declining prices by moving up $0.50 to $624.00 pmt, while MGO moved up $3.00 to $1008.50 pmt.

IFO380 in Houston was down $3.00 to $601.50 pmt, and like yesterday's price was the lowest of the year so far. LS380 ended a short run of three consecutive market days of lower prices with a sharp gain of $9.50 to $682.00. MGO moved down $10.00 to $989.50 pmt - just $1 off the lowest price of the year so far.
