Bunker prices saw another day of small movements on Wednesday, but markets were more mixed than they have been in recent days.
In Asia, a fall of $5.00 to $684.00 per metric tonne (pmt) in Bangkok for IFO380 was the key grade's biggest movement in the region, followed by a drop of $4.00 to $654.50 for the product in Busan.
Singapore IFO380 slipped $0.50 to $633.50 pmt, a month-on-month change of $-30.00 and down $-50.50 over the last 6 months. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) dropped $1.00 to $714.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $80.50 pmt. MGO slipped $4.00 to $926.50 pmt.
The EMEA region lacked overall direction as markets maintained on overall steady sentiment, and IFO380 in Istanbul notably fell $6.50 to $642.50 pmt, partially correcting yesterdays relatively big gain of $10.00 pmt.
After 2 days without movement for key grade IFO380 in Rotterdam, the product fell $1.00 to $606.50 pmt for a week-on-week change of $0.50. LS380 dropped $2.50 to $631.50 making the premium for the ECA compliant fuel $25.00 pmt, and MGO climbed $1.50 to $910.00 pmt.
Fujairah IFO380 made it a third day of downward movements, falling $2.00 to $635.50 pmt for a week-on-week change of $5.00. MGO was down $1.50 to $1020.00 pmt.
In the Americas, prices were mixed in the North America Atlantic region, but soft to steady elsewhere.
Houston IFO380 rose $1.00 to $615.00 pmt, the same price for the product one week ago. LS380 climbed $2.00 to $698.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $83.00 pmt, and MGO slipped $1.50 to $1010.50 pmt, down $54.50 on the month.
